RNC Getting A Major Overhaul

The Republican National Committee will do a major overhaul of their organization once Mike Duncan's term expire as chairman in January 2009. Michael Steele, former Lt. Governor of Maryland, and Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, are two major Conservative leaders vying for that prestigious post.

A National publication, American Spectator, gave a hint that former Senator Fred Thompson (R-TN) wants to be the General Chairman of the RNC. Fred Thompson's role will be doing public speeches to convey the Conservative Movement.

While the RNC is getting a facelift, rumors are escalating that Governor Sarah Palin will run for presidency in 2012.

This is a positive change for all Republicans. Conservatism will be the national platform. This is why Moderate Republican are scared to death. This is why they are still attacking Sarah Palin well after the election is over. No more weak candidates that are unable to convey a message. The RNC will find a leader with Reagan-like qualities that will galvanize the base.

This is what I wanted to see, and that is a purge of wannabe Republicans in both chambers of Congress. Being a half-ass Republican is obtrusive and degrading to the Conservative Movement.
