Have you noticed that many individuals are turning their backs from joining the Obama Administration? Set back after set back, Obama hasn’t yet got his act together. Just look at the team he conjured up. Most of them have tax problems and inexperience.
One in particular, Treasury Secretary Timmy “tax cheat” Geithner has been going solo in the Treasury Department. With his candidate for chief deputy withdrawing from consideration, it has been five weeks and he has yet to name a single top deputy or assistant secretary. This has left the Treasury with too few people authorized to make decisions or represent the department in meetings with stakeholders. Personally, I would be embarrassed to be a candidate working with a tax cheat that would be in control of the IRS. I am just picturing Geithner stuck all by himself in the Treasury Department trying to do everything. It seems that wonder boy is way over his head, just like his boss. Without anybody being confirmed, the Treasury is a big shop to try to run with one person, especially now during this economic crisis.
I find that many potential nominees to the Obama Administration have declined to accept a position. I don’t blame them. Why would anybody be associate with a loser? I’m glad to find that Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN's chief medical correspondent, had the common sense to withdraw his name from consideration as surgeon general of the United States. I would hate to see his name tarnished because of his associated with a Marxist.
