The US Government Should Not Talk about Human Rights Because Americans Do Not Have Due Process

(ABC) In a network exclusive interview to air on Nightline tonight, we sat down this afternoon with White House senior adviser David Axelrod, the president’s closest aide, whose last day at the White House is today.

We talked about a number of issues in this exit interview, but perhaps most news-worthy were his comments on Egypt in which Axelrod suggested President Obama has for two years “directly confronted” the Egyptian president over human rights issues in order to get ahead of growing discontent among his people – a stronger characterization of President Obama’s discussions with Mubarak than we’ve so far heard from the White House.

Besides the literal meaning of human rights, it is also referred to due process. The hypocrisy of President Obama dictating about human rights and due process to other world leaders is stunning. We have a authoritarian government in the United States making the rule of law as it deemed fit. While other presidents kept themselves under the radar, Obama has demonstrated a transparency of a mild tyrant.

In the United States, human rights is protected under the court of law, but when the government wants something, they will take it. Throughout history, there are presidents who superseded the rule of law. During WWII, FDR had interment camps. During the Civil War, Abe Lincoln suspended Habeas Corpus. On Oct. 17, 2006, President Bush signed a law suspending the right of habeas corpus to persons "determined by the United States" to be an "enemy combatant" in the Global War on Terror. Now, President Obama has his "presidential assassination program," whereby American citizens are targeted for killings far away from any battlefield, based exclusively on unchecked accusations by the Executive Branch that they're involved in Terrorism.

Also, President Obama announces detaining American citizens for future crimes that have not been committed.

Unsurprisingly, the abuse of executive power has been going on for many years. Fortunately, President Obama finally chimed in an actual fact. The United States government has for many years imprisoned Americans without due process. In fact, there is an American citizen named Martin Armstrong being jailed for many years in Fort Dix, New Jersey for contempt of court. In reality, Martin Armstrong has something the government wanted.

Martin Armstrong is a financial guru who creating a his own system to determined the timing of the markets and events. Martin Armstrong's model has dumbfounded many analysis. Martin Armstrong became an icon that the CIA and the federal government took notice and wanted the program. According to Armstrong's daughter Victoria Armstrong, "It took nearly 30 years for my dad to develop this model and his refusing to turn over its source code to the government is a big reason why he has been held in jail for over 7 years without a trial. His model was his life’s work and his passion that ultimately landed him in jail. Although it's great to hear people that have benefited from his insight, after seeing what has happened to him I wish he kept it to himself."

From an unofficial Martin Armstrong website, it says,
"Martin Armstrong is currently in prison. Indicted in 1999 on charges of defrauding Japanese investors. He was in jail for seven years for contempt of court before pleading guilty in 2007 to the fraud charge for which he received an additional five year prison term. Armstrong claims his legal problems started when he failed to play ball with "The Club". His imprisonment is one of the longest under a contempt of court order without a trial. Coincidentally, prior to his guilty plea, his final appeal for release (relating to indefinate imprisonment for contempt of court) was denied by (recently promoted) U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

Muslim Brotherhood Warns More Protest to Counties Supporting the USA

Muslim Brotherhood is missing the point. We want a regime change here in the USA, but with someone more Patriotic to America. The one we have now is making a mess out of everything.

(My WAY) AMMAN, Jordan (AP) - The leader of Jordan's powerful Muslim Brotherhood warned Saturday that unrest in Egypt will spread across the Mideast and Arabs will topple leaders allied with the United States.

Hammam Saeed's comments were made at a protest outside the Egyptian Embassy in Amman, inspired by massive rallies in neighboring Egypt demanding the downfall of the country's longtime president, Hosni Mubarak.

About 100 members of the fundamentalist group and activists from other leftist organizations and trade unions chanted "Mubarak, step down" and "the decision is made, the people's revolt will remain."

Elsewhere, a separate group of 300 protesters gathered in front of the office of Jordanian Prime Minister Samir Rifai, demanding his ouster. "Rifai, it's time for you to go," chanted the group.

Jordan's protests have been relatively small in size, but they underline a rising tension with Jordan's King Abdullah II, a key U.S. ally who has been making promises of reform in recent days in an apparent attempt to quell domestic discontent over economic degradation and lack of political freedoms.

But as a monarch with deep support from the Bedouin-dominated military, Jordan's ruler is not seen as vulnerable as Mubarak or Tunisia's deposed leader. Even the Brotherhood - a fiery critic of Jordan's moderate government - has remained largely loyal to the king, who claims ancestry to Islam's Prophet Muhammad.

Many believe it's unlikely King Abdullah will bow to demands for popular election of the prime minister and Cabinet officials, traditionally appointed by the king.
Saeed said Arabs have grown disgruntled with U.S. domination of their oil wealth, military occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan and its support for "totalitarian" leaders in the region.

"The Americans and (President Barack) Obama must be losing sleep over the popular revolt in Egypt," he said. "Now, Obama must understand that the people have woken up and are ready to unseat the tyrant leaders who remained in power because of U.S. backing."

Obama is Responsible Backing Rebel Leaders Behind Egypt Uprising

Many people are questioning why the United States targeted Egypt. A regime change with a country friendly to the United States left many to wonder. The problem is not President Mubarak, but the pro-Muslim conspirators in the government wanting to see him gone. Members of the Muslim Brotherhood, including at least eight senior officials of the opposition group and its main spokesmen, were rounded up overnight. The Muslim Brotherhood may be responsible for the chaos in the streets of Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood is a hard-line radical Islamic organization. They are vying to place their people to head the Egyptian government. If this unimaginable atrocity occur, the fate of Israel will be in jeopardy. Democracy is a good thing, but not for everybody. When religious elements are added to the equation, it is a whole different ballgame.

Obama is causing civil strife and chaos. If the US is adamant about human rights, there are other countries that need major regime change like China, Iran, Palestine, Afghanistan, and North Korea. Egypt has been an ally to the United States and hasn't caused any direct conflict with us. The motives of this Muslim-American president is making itself apparently clear. The United States and its allies are the enemy and Islam is the will of Allah.

The uprising in Egypt can be blamed on the US government. For the past several years, the Obama Administration concocted the revolution in Egypt for a regime change. In the recent headlines from the Daily Telegraph, "The American government secretly backed leading figures behind the Egyptian uprising who have been planning “regime change” for the past three years."

The American Embassy in Cairo helped a young dissident attend a US-sponsored summit for activists in New York, while working to keep his identity secret from Egyptian state police.

On his return to Cairo in December 2008, the activist told US diplomats that an alliance of opposition groups had drawn up a plan to overthrow President Hosni Mubarak and install a democratic government in 2011.

He has already been arrested by Egyptian security in connection with the demonstrations and his identity is being protected by The Daily Telegraph.

The crisis in Egypt follows the toppling of Tunisian president Zine al-Abedine Ben Ali, who fled the country after widespread protests forced him from office.

The disclosures, contained in previously secret US diplomatic dispatches released by the WikiLeaks website, show American officials pressed the Egyptian government to release other dissidents who had been detained by the police.

Mr Mubarak, facing the biggest challenge to his authority in his 31 years in power, ordered the army on to the streets of Cairo yesterday as rioting erupted across Egypt.

In an interview for the American news channel CNN, to be broadcast tomorrow, David Cameron said: “I think what we need is reform in Egypt. I mean, we support reform and progress in the greater strengthening of the democracy and civil rights and the rule of law.”

The US government has previously been a supporter of Mr Mubarak’s regime. But the leaked documents show the extent to which America was offering support to pro-democracy activists in Egypt while publicly praising Mr Mubarak as an important ally in the Middle East.

The protests in Egypt are being driven by the April 6 youth movement, a group on Facebook that has attracted mainly young and educated members opposed to Mr Mubarak. The group has about 70,000 members and uses social networking sites to orchestrate protests and report on their activities.

Black Ohio Mom Jailed for Sending Kids to Better School District

During the state of the union, Obama stressed about more schools, better education, and the need for more teachers. Ironically, there is a report of a black mom in Ohio, 12 credits shy to be a teacher, got in trouble with the law because she wanted the best school and education for her daughters. The end result led her to a 10-day prison sentence and ruining her chances to become a teacher. Also, the courts are mandating that her kids return back to the failed school district

What she did was technically wrong, but since we have a government stealing our hard earned money, dictating what we can and cannot do, and failing to fix the education system, there is very little option for the America public. It is hypocritical that a failed school district must punish those who doesn't want to be part of that failed school system. I must commend the mother who wanted only the best for her children. The government will not do it. We must do what is right for the family. If the school system fails, it must be closed down and move these students to a better school system that has the resources to give them a chance. The school education system is not a daycare allowing the parent to go to work. It is a system that provides a future for our children to survive in society.

(ABC NEWS) An Ohio mother's attempt to provide her daughters with a better education has landed her behind bars.

Kelley Williams-Bolar was convicted of lying about her residency to get her daughters into a better school district.

Williams-Bolar decided four years ago to send her daughters to a highly ranked school in neighboring Copley-Fairlawn School District.

But it wasn't her Akron district of residence, so her children were ineligible to attend school there, even though her father lived within the district's boundaries.

The school district accused Williams-Bolar of lying about her address, falsifying records and, when confronted, having her father file false court papers to get around the system.

Williams-Bolar said she did it to keep her children safe and that she lived part-time with her dad.

While her children are no longer attending schools in the Copley-Fairlawn District, school officials said she was cheating because her daughters received a quality education without paying taxes to fund it.

Williams-Bolar refused and was indicted and convicted of falsifying her residency records.

She was sentenced last week to 10 days in county jail and put on three years of probation.

Hospital Records and not the Gov. of Hawaii Declares Obama was not Born in Hawaii

The reporter was lying. First, he is a good friend of the Gov. of Hawaii. There is an assumed biased factor. Second, the reporter said that the hospital doesn't have a birth certificate of Obama. It doesn't matter who said what. What matter is that Obama was not born in Hawaii. That is what the argument is all about.

(FoxNews) A celebrity journalist now claims he misspoke when he said last week that Hawaii’s governor told him he was unable to find President Barack Obama’s original birth certificate after a search of state and hospital archives.

Mike Evans told FoxNews.com on Wednesday he was remorseful and embarrassed that he appeared to have given the impression that he had discussed the search for Obama’s birth certificate with Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie.

Evans, who says he has been a close friend of Abercrombie since the 1980s, appeared on Minnesota’s KQRS radio last week and said he’d been told by the governor himself that Obama’s birth certificate was nowhere to be found.

On the morning of Jan. 20, Evans says he accidentally told one of those radio stations -- KQRS -- that he’d spoken directly with Gov. Abercrombie about the Obama birth certificate.

“I was on 34 radio stations that morning. That was the only station where I said, instead of saying ‘the hospital said there’s no birth certificate’ I misspoke and said Neil said that,” Evans said. “I misspoke and I apologize for that. I apologize to Neil.”

The Tea Party Response for the State of the Union

A brilliant response by the Tea Party Movement. Great solutions to the problem we face. The prepared speech explains the dire problem we are currently in, and points out the fact that Obama didn't do anything in his first two years of office.

(CNN Politics) As prepared for delivery in response to the SOTU:

Good evening, my name is Congresswoman Michele Bachmann from Minnesota’s 6th District.
Two years ago, when Barack Obama became our President, unemployment was 7.8 percent and our national debt stood at what seemed like a staggering $10.6 trillion dollars. We wondered whether the President would cut spending, reduce the deficit and implement real job-creating policies.

Unfortunately, the President’s strategy for recovery was to spend a trillion dollars on a failed stimulus program, fueled by borrowed money.

The White House promised us that all the spending would keep unemployment under 8 percent.
Not only did that plan fail to deliver, but within three months the national jobless rate spiked to 9.4 percent. And sadly, it hasn’t been lower for 20 straight months. While the government grew, we lost more than 2 million jobs.

Let me show you a chart. [CHART]

Here are unemployment rates over the past ten years. In October 2001, our national unemployment rate was at 5.3 percent. In 2008 it was at 6.6 percent. But, just eight months after President Obama promised lower unemployment, that rate spiked to a staggering 10.1 percent.

Today, unemployment is at 9.4 percent with about 400,000 new claims every week.
After the $700 billion bailout, the trillion-dollar stimulus, and the $410 billion spending bill with over 9,000 earmarks, many of you implored Washington to please stop spending money we don’t have.

But, instead of cutting, we saw an unprecedented explosion of government spending and debt, unlike anything we have seen in the history of our country.

[CHART]

Deficits were unacceptably high under President Bush, but they exploded under President Obama’s direction, growing the national debt by an astounding $3.1 trillion-dollars.

What did we buy?

Instead of a leaner, smarter government, we bought a bureaucracy that tells us which light bulbs to buy, and which will put 16,500 IRS agents in charge of policing President Obama’s healthcare bill.

ObamaCare mandates and penalties will force many job creators to stop offering health insurance altogether, unless yours is one of the more-than-222 privileged companies or unions that has received a government waiver.

In the end, unless we fully repeal ObamaCare, a nation that currently enjoys the world’s best healthcare may be forced to rely on government-run coverage that will have a devastating impact on our national debt for generations to come.

For two years President Obama made promises just like the ones we heard him make tonight. Yet still we have high unemployment, devalued housing prices and the cost of gasoline is skyrocketing.

Here are a few suggestions for fixing our economy:

The President could stop the EPA from imposing a job-destroying cap-and-trade system.

The President could support a Balanced Budget Amendment.

The President could agree to an energy policy that increases American energy production and reduces our dependence on foreign oil.

The President could also turn back some of the 132 regulations put in place in the last two years, many of which will cost our economy $100 million or more.

And, the President should repeal ObamaCare and support free market solutions like medical malpractice reform and allow all Americans to buy any healthcare policy they like anywhere in the United States.

We need to start making things again in this country, and we can do that by reducing the tax and regulatory burdens on job creators.

America will have the highest corporate tax rate in the world. Look no further to see why jobs are moving overseas.

But, thanks to you, there’s reason to hope that real spending cuts are coming. Last November you went to the polls and voted out big-spending politicians and you put in their place men and women with a commitment to follow the Constitution and cut the size of government.

I believe that we are in the early days of a history-making turn.

Please know how important your calls, visits, and letters are to the maintenance of our liberties. Because of you, Congress responded and we are starting to undo the damage that’s been done.

We believe in lower taxes, a limited view of government and the exceptionalism of America. And I believe America is the indispensible nation.

Just the creation of this nation was a miracle. Who’s to say that we can’t see a miracle again?

The perilous battle that was fought in the pacific, at Iwo Jima, was a battle against all odds, and yet the image of the young G.I.s in the incursion against the Japanese immortalizes their victory.

These six young men raising the flag came to symbolize all of America coming together to beat back a totalitarian aggressor.

Our current debt crisis we face today is different, but we still need all of us to pull together. We can do this.

And that’s the hope we hold tonight as Americans. We will push forward to reclaim the greatness of our country and to proclaim the liberty upon which we were founded.

And we will do so because we the people will never give up on this great nation.

God bless you, and God bless America.

The State of the Union is Full of Empty Promises

From (HotAir), they gave some important highlights from the SOTU. CBS poll showed that 44% who watch the SOTU were Democrats and 25% Republicans. It was a good speech, but it was 2 years too late. Obama gave some good ideas, but not enough to improve jobs and the economy. With 14 trillion in debt, a weakened dollar, and very high unemployment, the most important fix is to end wasteful spending and fix the tax system, which is almost impossible.

Highlights:

So tonight, I’m asking Democrats and Republicans to simplify the system. Get rid of the loopholes. Level the playing field. And use the savings to lower the corporate tax rate for the first time in 25 years – without adding to our deficit.

Now, I’ve heard rumors that a few of you have some concerns about the new health care law. So let me be the first to say that anything can be improved. If you have ideas about how to improve this law by making care better or more affordable, I am eager to work with you. We can start right now by correcting a flaw in the legislation that has placed an unnecessary bookkeeping burden on small businesses

But now that the worst of the recession is over, we have to confront the fact that our government spends more than it takes in. That is not sustainable. Every day, families sacrifice to live within their means. They deserve a government that does the same.

So tonight, I am proposing that starting this year, we freeze annual domestic spending for the next five years. This would reduce the deficit by more than $400 billion over the next decade, and will bring discretionary spending to the lowest share of our economy since Dwight Eisenhower was president.

The bipartisan Fiscal Commission I created last year made this crystal clear. I don’t agree with all their proposals, but they made important progress. And their conclusion is that the only way to tackle our deficit is to cut excessive spending wherever we find it – in domestic spending, defense spending, health care spending, and spending through tax breaks and loopholes.

This means further reducing health care costs, including programs like Medicare and Medicaid, which are the single biggest contributor to our long-term deficit. Health insurance reform will slow these rising costs, which is part of why nonpartisan economists have said that repealing the health care law would add a quarter of a trillion dollars to our deficit. Still, I’m willing to look at other ideas to bring down costs, including one that Republicans suggested last year: medical malpractice reform to rein in frivolous lawsuits.

To put us on solid ground, we should also find a bipartisan solution to strengthen Social Security for future generations. And we must do it without putting at risk current retirees, the most vulnerable, or people with disabilities; without slashing benefits for future generations; and without subjecting Americans’ guaranteed retirement income to the whims of the stock market.

Game-changer! Arizona to pass 2012 eligibility law

The Birthers strike back! Obama will have to produce birth certificate to run again.

(WND) It could be a game-changer.

A plan in Arizona to require presidential candidates to prove their eligibility to occupy the Oval Office is approaching critical mass, even though it has just been introduced.

The proposal from state Rep. Judy Burges, who carried a similar plan that fell short last year only because of political maneuvering, was introduced yesterday with 16 members of the state Senate as co-sponsors.

It needs only 16 votes in the Senate to pass.

President Drops Entitlement Reform for More Spending in the State of the Union

Instead of taking the opportunity to increase his jobs approval numbers, Obama will talk about more spending and avoid speaking about entitlement reform in the State of Union. Liberal ideology takes a precedence over rational thinking. Pushing an agenda that will fundamentally change this country in an adverse way is the only priority Obama has right now. Weakening this country with irreversible programs will lead to the destruction of the United States. Obama doesn't care. He and his family will be taken care of from the powers that run this country- POWERFUL BANKS.

(Race42012) In yet another bout of political cluelessness, the president has declined a golden opportunity to triangulate and will not be pushing entitlement reform in his State of the Union address tomorrow night. This is akin to finding a winning lottery ticket on the sidewalk and tossing it into the garbage. By advocating real, even if left-of-center, entitlement reform, President Obama would have been able to recast himself as a Clinton-style fiscal moderate at a time when his approval rating is on the uptick, and during a post-tragedy era, when Americans want to like their president again.

The reasons that a presidential call for entitlement reform would have been pitch perfect tomorrow night are legion. First, even though the economy is no longer in recession, unemployment remains high, and the average voter, while not an economist, intuits that there are major, structural problems with the American economy that need to be solved. Unfortunately, solving problems often costs money, especially when liberals are the ones coming up with the solutions. The reality is that many of our economic problems are due to irrational economic actions that are the result of public policies that disincentivize rational behavior.

That’s why entitlement reform would have solved Obama’s many woes. First of all, the savings that would be generated from a major overhaul of Social Security and Medicare would far outweigh any new spending that Obama will likely propose tomorrow night. Secondly, entitlements are the primary cause of the long-term debt issue. And third, entitlement reform, particulary of the sort that means-tests entitlements and cuts the benefits of affluent seniors, would largely impact a voting bloc that Obama has already lost anyway, and would bait Republicans into doubling down on their “early bird special” strategy that they seem to be intent on embracing, where the GOP targets older, white voters, who are a lagging, not leading, indicator of where the nation is headed.

By passing up this opportunity to make the case for entitlement reform, the president may be about to give away his newfound majority support in the polls. Americans are going to hear lots of new spending proposed by the president tomorrow night, but no way to pay for that spending, and no way to prevent the looming fiscal crisis. Suburban independents, who tend to be Concord Coalition types who hate deficits and debt, may find themselves torn between a president that they want to like, and policies that they know simply don’t add up. That will open the door a tad for the GOP in 2012, a door that had been closing over the past couple of months.

Many Dead by Terrorist Bomb at a Russian Airport

Terrorism has no personal target. Terrorist will cause chaos to any group of people, race or nationality. This attack at a Russian airport is a reminder that terrorism is not isolated to Americans. It is worldwide epidemic that needs to be eradicated.

(NewsCore) - The severed head of a suspected suicide bomber was located Monday after a massive bomb ripped through a bustling Russian airport, killing at least 35 people and injuring dozens more.

The explosion brought devastation to the arrivals hall of Domodedovo Airport, the busiest of Moscow's three airports, at 4:32pm local time.

Law enforcement officials told the RIA Novosti news agency that the bomb, which was detonated close to a cafe, had the equivalent power of five kilos (11 lbs) of TNT. It was packed with metal objects to maximize the potential damage.

News reports in Russia suggested the atrocity was the work of one, or possibly two, suicide bombers who may have had assistance from several accomplices.

The Interfax news agency said that a severed head found at the bomb site, a "meet and greet" area accessible to the public, was believed to be that of the bomber.

Further Russian reports said that three men were being hunted by authorities, who described the bombing as an "act of terror."

RIA Novosti suggested security agencies had been tipped off about the attack but were unable to stop it.

No group claimed responsibility for Monday's attack but Russia is battling a Muslim insurgency in the North Caucasus, and previous terror attacks have targeted Moscow.

Robert Gibbs say Birthers are Irrational People

The comment about birthers and birth certificate won't go away. The more exposure or mention of Obama's birth certificate will make the president's re-election bid difficult. So, if they continue to taunt the American public, the Obama Administration should expect a severe backlash.

POLITICO 44: Key Gibbs takeaways

Here’s what you need to know from Monday’s White House briefing with press secretary Robert Gibbs:

-- Gibbs hinted that President Obama will talk about gun rights in his State of the Union address. “I don’t doubt that, as a result of the impact – or the issues of what happened in Tucson, that there will be a number of proposals that this White House and the Congress will evaluate, and we'll wait until tomorrow to see what’s in the State of the Union,” he said.

-- Gibbs snuck a jab at the so-called birthers who don’t believe Obama was born in Hawaii. “I think rational people have -- have long ago, many when they first heard and saw the president, come to the conclusion of his citizenship,” he said.

-- The press secretary knocked down the suggestion that Obama has tacked to the ideological “center” after the midterms. He said Obama, despite recently hiring a handful of Clinton administration officials, is “still the same president that we've had for more than two years.”

-- Both parties sitting together for the State of the Union is a “good step” in working together, Gibbs said, predicting “more collegiality, less acrimony and less partisanship” during the speech.

What Happen to the Anti-War Movement?

What happen to the antiwar movement? Where are the anti-war demonstrators and their raucous protests? Where are the media and the liberal pundits criticizing about the war? That was then. As soon Obama was elected into office, it seems the anti-war movement died. Currently, nothing dramatically changed about the war after Bush left office. We still have 50,000 troops in Iraq. Obama is still committed to fight the good war in Afghanistan. Even though the mounting casualties, Obama actually increased the number of troops in Afghanistan without a game plan. Obama renege his promise to close Guantanamo Bay and continue to support the Bush predator drones program. The media stopped posting pictures and the death count of American soldiers Iraq and Afghanistan. It is so blatant that the media and liberals were using the deaths of American soldiers as a political motive to bash George W. Bush and the GOP. The political motivation behind it is cruel, insensitive, and malicious.

Now, there are no anti-war protests. The media has shunned talking about the war and avoided reporting any military casualties. The Left-wing blogs are very quiet to criticize about the war. Even Cindy Sheehan, an infamous vocal anti-war advocate, is nowhere to be seen. Since Obama became president, no one is interested to report the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is very disingenuous that liberals really didn’t care about the war and using dead American soldiers as a political tool to bash Bush. It was never about the war at all and that is an indisputable fact. The people who represented as anti-war advocates are bunch of hypocrites. It is simple hypocrisy. That is all it is.

Congress Looking For a Suitable Date to the State of the Union

The idea of civility doesn't mean having to sit with the opposing party member. This "Kuymbaya" moment is an embarrassment to the integrity of the political institution. Just the sight of it is revolting. This is not a high school classroom or the pageantry of a high school prom. These are matured individuals making laws that govern this land. I just don't know the purpose of this juvenile charade.

(Politico) — Lawmakers on the Hill haven’t quite broken out the corsages — yet — but the high school level drama is on as senators and representatives scramble to find suitable across-the-aisle seating partners for Tuesday’s State of the Union address.

The very public rollout of odd-couple pairings this week, from lofty press releases to tweets to public displays of bipartisan affection on national TV — where Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) kicked off a Capitol craze on “Meet the Press” last Sunday by announcing their intentions to sit together — has turned conventional State of the Union wisdom on its head.

A night typically marked by highly symbolic partisan coordination, from seating charts to dramatic, orchestrated applause for the president, now has become about the buildup: Which Democrat will sit with which Republican on which side of the aisle? And now that the room is all mixed, will it become as awkward as a high school dance where no one knows exactly what to do when sitting next to a new partner?

Perhaps the hubbub is not quite what Sen. Mark Udall (D-Colo.) had in mind when he sent an open letter to Congress asking his colleagues to break tradition this year because of the Jan. 8 shootings at a constituent event for Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.). Approximately 60 lawmakers have signed onto Udall’s letter.

But this is Congress, and if lawmakers weren’t trying to get a few minutes of attention, even for the noblest of causes, it wouldn’t be right.

And no pair symbolizes the uniqueness of this arrangement better than Democrat Anthony Weiner and Republican Pete King, whose wife, in suggesting the two sit together, called them the “biggest loudmouths” in the House.

Last summer, Weiner got into a shouting match with King on the House floor over the 9/11 first-responders health care bill, yelling repeatedly, “The gentleman will sit! The gentleman will sit!” in what became one of the most iconic — or, at least, viral — moments of the 111th Congress.
Tuesday, the gentleman will be sitting. Right next to Weiner.

“To me, this is really stretching the outer limits of civility for Weiner and I to be sitting together,” King told POLITICO, crediting his wife for the idea. “He wants to sit on the GOP side with me, so I guess for one night he can pretend he’s in the majority.”

“It’s a nice thing. I’m going to be sitting on the Republican side, so not only will Peter King be my date, he may be my security detail also,” Weiner added. “Look, Peter and I have had our moments. We disagree on a lot of things, and from time to time we disagree very loudly, but if we’re going to get stuff done for New York, we’re going to have to work together.”

Tea Party House Republicans Aiming to Defund the United Nation

It is time to dissolve the United Nations. Its usefulness is mired by corruption, deception, and unaccountability. Its intended goal is to help those countries affected by human rights issue. Instead, they turn a blind eye when human rights are being violated. An example are human rights issue in China and Iran not being addressed. There are UN resolutions against Israel. There is no transparencies to the billion of dollars given to the United Nations. What good have they done lately? Global warming??

(The Hill) A key House Republican is quickly pressing forward with her goals to scale back U.S. funding for the United Nations.

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told The Hill that oversight would be a key function of the panel, particularly funding to the U.N. Human Rights Council (HRC) that is "a waste of taxpayer dollars." "The fact that the U.S. continues to contribute billions of taxpayer dollars every year to an unaccountable, unreformed U.N. is no laughing matter," she said in a statement.

On Tuesday, Ros-Lehtinen will host a panel of U.N. critics and advocates that was originally scheduled for the week that the House suspended most activity in the wake of the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.).

U.N. critics set to appear include Claudia Rosett, who unveiled the oil-for-food scandal in 2004 and 2005 in The Wall Street Journal; Brett Schaefer, who regularly takes on the U.N. at the conservative Heritage Foundation; and Hillel Neuer, executive director of Geneva-based UN Watch, which monitors the controversial HRC.

Neuer told The Hill that UN Watch is going to release new data at the briefing on how the HRC has been run since then-U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan dissolved the Human Rights Commission in 2006. Annan called the commission "politicized" at the time, but the commission's replacement, the HRC, has attracted many critics as well.

Ros-Lehtinen, one of many lawmakers critical of Obama for that 2009 decision, led the charge against the United Nations in the 111th Congress, introducing bills urging transparency and accountability as well as the withholding of funding.

But the first bill in this Congress taking on the U.N., introduced on the first day the House was in session, came from a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, not from Ros-Lehtinen's panel.

Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Fla.) introduced a measure to ensure that no federal funds may be used for the "design, renovation, construction, or rental of any headquarters for the United Nations in any location in the United States" unless Obama "transmits to Congress a certification that the United Nations has adopted internationally recognized best practices in contracting and procurement."

“During the Bush administration, it was learned from internal U.N. auditors that 43 percent of $1.4 billion in procurement contracts investigated involved fraud," Stearns said in a statement to The Hill. Over the past five years, the council has produced about 45 resolutions, he said, 35 which are "one-sided measures against Israel."

Airline Passenger Found Not Guilty of All Charges From TSA Arrest

Finally, we have a case marking the first time anyone has ever challenged TSA's authority to question and detain a traveler. The final result ended giving airline passengers the upper hand over TSA. It is apparent that these TSA workers have "chip on their shoulders," and are egotistical. It is a power trip using intimidation to unsuspected travelers. The reality is not base on exaggeration. The reality is base on experience.

(Seattle Weekly) After an hour of deliberation Friday evening, a Bernalillo County, New Mexico jury found Phil Mocek not guilty of all four charges he faced after refusing to show his ID and using a video recorder at a TSA checkpoint in 2009. If you're keeping score at home, that's Mocek: 1, TSA: 0.

According to Edward Hasbrouck of the Identity Project, Mocek did not testify, and the defense rested on Friday without calling any witnesses or presenting any evidence. Hasbrouck attended the trial; he writes:

The jury found that even without rebuttal, the TSA and Albuquerque police had failed to satisfy their burden of proving any of the four charges: concealing his identity, refusing to obey a lawful order (it was never entirely clear whether this was supposed to have been an order to turn off his camera, an order to leave the airport despite having a valid ticket, or an order to show ID, none of which would have been lawful orders), trespassing, and disorderly conduct.

Even After a Democrat Shellacking in November Obama Wants to Spend More Money

Obama is clueless what occurred in the last November election. The president admitted that the Democrats took a severe shellacking, but that is not going to stop Obama from spending more. At the present, we are going to hit the debt ceiling in the next couple months, and the Republicans are adamant to cut spending. In the past year, a series of stimulus packages gave us an above 9 percent unemployment or 17% underemployment. In the summer of July 2010 from the (Hot Air) website, they described how Obama was committed to spend $2 Billion to create 5000 jobs. The article went on to say:

Obama proposes spending $2 billion to create a total of 5,100 jobs. That will cost $392,156.87 per job. That kind of money, in the private sector at least, should fund several jobs. Heck, even a government bureaucrat costs less than that; even at the Department of Transportation, that would cover two and have enough left over for a secretary. But that’s not the only folly in this proposal. Of the 5,100 jobs Obama promises, only 1,500 of them are permanent jobs. The others are construction jobs, which will only last as long as the money flows to the project. That means we will spend over $1.3 million per “permanent” job in building this “green economy,” which looks more like a red-ink economy with even a cursory check of the numbers.

This example is nothing short of shocking. There was an example of a Los Angeles county given a stimulus of several million dollars and that produce 55 jobs. It is important to understand that the government role is never intended to create jobs. The real jobs are created by the private sector. The governments role is to spend our money. Therefore, Obama had no intent in changing his ways after the election.

(WSJ) President Barack Obama will call for new government spending on infrastructure, education and research in his State of the Union address Tuesday, sharpening his response to Republicans in Congress who are demanding deep budget cuts, people familiar with the speech said.

Mr. Obama will argue that the U.S., even while trying to reduce its budget deficit, must make targeted investments to foster job growth and boost U.S. competitiveness in the world economy. The new spending could include initiatives aimed at building the renewable-energy sector—which received billions of dollars in stimulus funding—and rebuilding roads to improve transportation, people familiar with the matter said. Money to restructure the No Child Left Behind law’s testing mandates and institute more competitive grants also could be included.

While proposing new spending, Mr. Obama also will lay out significant budget cuts elsewhere, people familiar with the plans say, though they will likely fall short of what Republican lawmakers have requested.

Besides a bump in approval numbers Obama still has 10 things to worry about

In a recent poll, Obama's approval numbers have improved, but it is uncertain why people felt he is doing a good job. In fact, some polls suggest that the president's handling of the Texas shooting or the lack there of contributed to the bump in the poll numbers. This should not illustrate a comparison with Bill Clinton that Obama is running to the center. It should illustrate that this country is in trouble with someone inexperience pretending to be president.

(Human Events) These are unsettling times that we live in. Not to be a downer, but here are the Top 10 Things to Worry About:

1. Out-of-control deficits: With trillion-dollar budget deficits projected for years and the national debt hitting $14 trillion, this mountain of red ink will come crashing down at some point. Add ballooning entitlements to the mix and the country’s financial status is a recipe for disaster. Watch the wreckage as cash-strapped state governments start going bankrupt and project the resulting chaos to the national level.

2. Terrorism: Whether it is homegrown terrorists or al Qaeda plotting overseas, the threat of jihadist attacks against America remains high. The fact that we haven’t had a major terror attack since 9/11—thanks in large part to alert citizens and inept bombers—should not lull us into complacency. The Obama Administration’s refusal to acknowledge that radical Islam is the enemy puts the nation at risk.

3. Healthcare system at risk: Healthcare costs are rising, doctors are fleeing and Obamacare is certain to make matters worse. And if you think things are bad now, Medicare will soon be under severe strains as Baby Boomers are just starting to become eligible for benefits. With 30 million people being added to the existing healthcare system under Obamacare, good luck getting an appointment with a doctor.

4. Stubborn unemployment: Where are the jobs? The unemployment rate has been above 9% since April 2009 and it is likely to remain high for years. And the rate is closer to 17% when taking into account those who have stopped looking for work or are forced to work only part-time. Matters likely could get worse as state and local governments are starting to shed jobs that were sheltered by federal stimulus money and businesses show no sign of adding to their payrolls with so much economic uncertainty.

5. Inflation: The Fed can’t keep printing money without eventually eroding the value of the dollar. Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke’s quantitative easing will only add to the inflationary pressure. To those who say inflation is not a worry, have you been to the grocery store or gas pump lately?

6. Rogue nations: The madmen in charge in North Korea and Iran are intent on flexing their nuclear muscles and America remains their enemy. Obama’s campaign pledge to talk to the ruling despots hasn’t panned out and it seems to only be a matter of time before one of these powder kegs erupts.

7. China: China owns our debt and is pouring money into its military. China’s President Hu says the dollar-dominated currency system is a “product of the past.” America was the world’s sole superpower for some 20 years, but will be tested by China’s economic and military might.

8. Crime: Crime is a persistent problem in America with high rates of violence in many of the nation’s cities. With murder and mayhem increasing to epidemic levels just across the border in Mexico, is it only a matter of time before the cartel’s drug wars spill over to the U.S.?

9. Housing market: Is your house underwater? A good many Americans are in that situation and are unlikely to see it get better any time soon. The housing market was so high when it crashed that prices are unlikely to ever recover.

10. Obama Administration: With the Democrats losing the House, liberals will not be able to push their agenda through Congress. But the Obama Administration can enact measures via administrative fiat. Just look at how the Environmental Protection Agency is starting to regulate greenhouse gases after cap-and-trade failed legislatively as an example of the administration circumventing the will of the people.

Obama: "We Are Going To Build Stuff And Invent Stuff"

(Click Video)Obama: "We Are Going To Build Stuff And Invent Stuff"

Just proves a point that this president needs his Teleprompter to look intelligent. At a GE Plant and off the cuff Obama said, "We are going back to Thomas Edison's principles and we are going to build stuff and invent stuff." Stuff??? Can someone give Obama a list of S.A.T words that he could memorize?

The Saga Ends as Hawaii won't release Obama Birth Certificate

The saga to find Obama's birth certificate ends. It took the state attorney to come in and save Governor Abercombie from total embarrassment. Even though the state attorney says Obama has to give a prior consent to search for his birth certificate, there is one entity that supersedes that judgement call and it is called the US Constitution. In the final call, there is no Hawaiian birth certificate for Obama. Case close!

(Associated Press) HONOLULU (AP) -- Democratic Gov. Neil Abercrombie will end his quest to prove President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii because it's against state law to release private documents, his office said Friday.

State Attorney General David Louie told the governor he can't disclose an individual's birth documentation without a person's consent, Abercrombie spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz said.

"There is nothing more that Gov. Abercrombie can do within the law to produce a document," said Dela Cruz. "Unfortunately, there are conspirators who will continue to question the citizenship of our president."

Comcast Takeover Will Change MSNBC format to be more Conservative

Probably wanting to compete against FoxNews, but this is highly unlikely. MSNBC would have to get rid everybody and start from scratch.

(Deadline) The statement about Keith Olbermann's firing came without warning.

The move is simultaneous with new owner Comcast starting to show its hand over the broadcast network and cable after receiving FCC approval. "He's been very problematic," an NBCU source told Deadline about Comcast's attitude to Olbermann. Officially, the Comcast takeover is next week.

But word has been circulating for months now that the new owners have wanted to "tinker" with MSNBC and had many changes in store, including a right turn for the left-wing cable channel so that it represents both political points of view more evenly. It is well known that both Comcast chief Brian Roberts and NBCU chief Steve Burke have donated heavily to the Republican party with Burke more recently donating money to a few Democrats as well as heavily to Republicans. Roberts was a co-chairman of the host committee at the 2000 Republican Convention while Burke raised at least $200,000 for George W Bush’s re-election campaign.

MSNBC Liberal Loon Keith Olbermann is Leaving Network

....GOOD RIDDEN! LOL. I know that Hannity, Rush, and O'Reilly won't be missing him. That is one liberal gone. Who is next?

(Yahoo) NEW YORK – MSNBC host Keith Olbermann announced Friday that he is leaving the network and has taped his last "Countdown" show.

MSNBC issued a statement that it had ended its contract with the controversial host, with no further explanation. Olbermann hosted the network's most popular show, but his combative liberal opinions often made him a target of critics.

Olbermann did not explain why he was leaving.

Governor of Hawaii Now Says There is No Birth Certificate

Yesterday, I wrote that the Gov. of Hawaii may have found proof that Obama was legitimately born in Hawaii, but I also said that the Gov. of Hawaii was "full-of-it!" I question about the validity of a handwritten birth certificate and my assessment was correct. The Gov. of Hawaii didn't find the birth certificate, but notations that may been used to created the Certification of Live Birth, which is completely different of a Birth Certificate. So, keep trying governor.

(MailOnline) Governor of Hawaii Abercrombie said on Tuesday that an investigation had unearthed papers proving Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961.

He told Honolulu's Star-Advertiser: 'It actually exists in the archives, written down,' he said.

But it became apparent that what had been discovered was an unspecified listing or notation of Obama's birth that someone had made in the state archives and not a birth certificate.

And in the same interview Abercrombie suggested that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health.

Gov of Hawaii Miraculous finds a Handwritten Birth Certificate of Obama Archived

From out of nowhere, the Gov. of Hawaii claims he found an archived handwritten birth certificate of Obama. If memory serves me correctly, all offical documents of a birth certificate is typed and not handwritten. I have seen my parents birth certificate and they were typed. I have seen my grandfather's birth certificate and it was type too. It seems very convenient that Obama Birth Certificate was handwritten. It is probable that some manipulation of the assumed document may be forged like the Certification of Live Birth that was circulating during the 2008 Presidential elections.

(NY DailyNews) Officials in Hawaii have tracked down papers indicating that President Obama was indeed born in their state, according to its new governor.

Gov. Neil Abercrombie, who took office in December, told Honolulu's Star-Advertiser on Tuesday that "our investigation" indicates there is a recording of his birth.

"It actually exists in the archives, written down," he said.

The new Democratic head of the state vowed when he took office that he would do his best to end the debate over Obama's birth, which began in 2008 during the presidential campaign.

"We'll do what we can as quickly as we can to make it inevitable that only those who wish the President ill, only the ones with a political agenda, will be the ones doing this kind of thing," Abercrombie told CNN in December. "The President is entitled to the respect of his office and he's entitled to have his mother and father respected."

During that interview, Abercrombie said his goal to combat birthers was a personal one.

Democrat Comparing Republicans as Nazi is Getting Old

It really sucks to be the Minority. Democrats shove a bunch of worthless legislations down our throat and they call Republicans Nazis. Well, look who is calling the kettle black. If Democrats what to play, they need to go to the back of the bus! It's the GOP turn to play hard ball. The GOP were voted to overturn all of Obama's bad policies. This is the first step of many paybacks the GOP has in store for Democrats.

(ABC News) In an extraordinary outburst on the House floor, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) invoked the Holocaust to attack Republicans on health care and compared rhetoric on the issue to the work of infamous Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels

Cohen says,“They say it's a government takeover of health care, a big lie just like Goebbels ... You say it enough, you repeat the lie, you repeat the lie, and eventually, people believe it. Like blood libel. That's the same kind of thing."

In addition, Cohen also said, “The Germans said enough about the Jews and people believed it--believed it and you have the Holocaust. We heard on this floor, government takeover of health care. Politifact said the biggest lie of 2010 was a government takeover of health care because there is no government takeover."

The Tea Party Movement Took the House and Repealed Obamacare

The new Tea Party Members of the House of Representatives took the 112th Congress and repealed Obamacare as promised!

(Politico) House Republicans passed a bill to repeal President Barack Obama’s health care plan Wednesday, taking their first major step toward rolling back the massive overhaul that has dominated the American political landscape for almost two years.

The vote was 245 to 189, and unanimous GOP support gave the vote the same partisan feel of the March vote to pass the law, underscoring once again the hardened political lines of the health care debate. Only three Democrats backed the repeal, a smaller number than Republicans had once predicted.

Great Achievement in Liberal History

I thought a little humor today would be nice. Enjoy.

Hawaii Governor Unable to Prove Obama was Born in Hawaii

In the past months, the governor of Hawaii vehemently stormed to the American public that he knew Obama as an infant and remembered Obama being born in Hawaii. Well, it seems Gov. Abercrombie needs to find another story to boast his stupidity. The governor is unable to find those document that he promised to release to the public. As a birther, I thought the birth certificate was confidentially sealed from the public eye. So, the Pandora Box has been open. If the governor is unable to produce those documents, the 2012 will be an interesting presidential re-election year for Obama.

(Worldnet Daily) Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie suggested in an interview published today that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health.

Abercrombie told the Honolulu Star Advertiser he was searching within the Hawaii Department of Health to find definitive vital records that would prove Obama was born in Hawaii, because the continuing eligibility controversy could hurt the president's chances of re-election in 2012.

Toward the end of the interview, the newspaper asked Abercrombie: "You stirred up quite a controversy with your comments regarding birthers and your plan to release more information regarding President Barack Obama's birth certificate. How is that coming?"

In his response, Abercrombie acknowledged the birth certificate issue will have "political implications" for the next presidential election "that we simply cannot have."

Cheney says Obama conceded that Bush policies were RIGHT

(The Hill) President Obama has “learned from experience” that some of the Bush administration’s decisions on terrorism issues were necessary, according to former Vice President Dick Cheney.

In his first interview since undergoing major heart surgery last July, Cheney said he thinks Obama has been forced to rethink some of his national security positions now that he sits in the Oval Office.

Cheney also asserted that Obama has learned that the prison at Guantanamo Bay simply cannot be closed, despite the promises he made while campaigning for the White House.

Obama Gives a State Dinner to China President but Shows the Dalai Lama the Service Entrance

The Chinese president Hu Jintao is in town to meet with Obama. The state dinner was a traditional fanfare and it was very lavished. Since the Chinese president was received with the customary Obama bow and appeasement, it differs the type of reception Obama gave to the Dalai Lama. In order to appease the China government, Obama must show favor by displaying the utmost disrespect to the Dalai Lama. The leader of the free world intentionally deferred meeting after meeting with spiritual leader of Tibet. Finally, when Obama met with the Dalai Lama in February 2009, he showed the Dalai Lama out via the service entrance. It isn't very dignified to see the Dalai Lama pass by a pile of trash to meet with reporters.

Janet Napolitano Says Keep Things Status Quo with Illegal Immigration than using Bush's Virtual Fence Program

Director of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano is scrapping George W. Bush "Virtual Fence" program. She is stating that $1 billion is a tough price to burden the American people. Instead, she want to continue the same status quo to detect illegal aliens. In other word, DHS is planning to turn a blind eye, which has been the standard norm.

(ABC News) The Department of Homeland Security today officially scrapped a Bush-era program designed to use radar technology to detect illegal immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, according to a DHS official and a congressional source.

The project, called "Virtual Fence," was rolled out under the Bush administration in 2006 with much fanfare about how technology could help secure the border. Illegal immigrants crossing the border would be detected by a radar and picked up by remote cameras, which were monitored by border patrol agents.

But numerous internal and Congressional reviews found consistent performance problems with the project's systems, which only spanned 53 miles of the vast U.S.-Mexico border.

DHS will utilize some of the existing technologies that were found to be useful in what the agency is calling a southwest border security technology plan.

....Janet Napalitano's plan.....

DHS will utilize some of the existing technologies that were found to be useful in what the agency is calling a southwest border security technology plan.

The new plan "will utilize existing, proven technology tailored to the distinct terrain and population density of each border region, including commercially available Mobile Surveillance Systems, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, thermal imaging devices, and tower-based Remote Video Surveillance Systems." Napolitano added.

The issues that the program encountered were wide ranging: cameras often provided blurry images, the radar system performed poorly in bad weather, and it often displayed false detections that were unable to distinguish between humans, cars and animals.

There were also cost overruns and the primary contractor, Boeing, repeatedly missed deadlines, officials said.

Sorry Britian But Obama Says France is the Stronger Ally

Obama is hoping Britian didn't hear his gaffe, but it was too late.

(The Blaze) Understandably, news of French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s visit to the United States has been overshadowed by the events in Tucson. So when during a joint press conference yesterday Barack Obama slipped into diploma-speak and said “we don’t have a stronger friend and stronger ally” than France, not many people picked up on it. But some did — especially those in Britain.

After identifing the gaffe, Obama later said while seated next to the French President,

“We don’t have a stronger friend and stronger ally than Nicolas Sarkozy, and the French people.”

Bill Clinton Says Republicans Must Tone Down the Political Rhetoric

Republicans to tone down the political and hateful rhetoric? Liberal Democrats should look at the mirror more often.............

(BBC) Former President Bill Clinton has told the BBC the US political climate must change after the shooting of a US Congresswoman and others in Arizona.

"No-one intends to do anything that encourages this sort of behaviour," he said. But political rhetoric "falls on the unhinged and the hinged alike".

Some commentators suggest the vitriolic political rhetoric in the US may have contributed in some way to the attack.

Speaking on a trip to Haiti, Mr Clinton called on the US House of Representatives to "lead the way" in toning down the political discourse.

"We cannot be unaware of the fact that - particularly with the internet - there's this huge echo chamber out there," he said.

"This is an occasion for us to reaffirm that our political differences shouldn't degenerate into demonisation, in the sense that if you don't agree with me you're not a good American.

"I'm hoping there will be a lot of good debates that go beyond turning this into politics... about how and why it happened and what else we can do to minimise those things."
